Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life.

Galatians 6:4-5 (MSG)

Meet Scott Kline & learn the vision for this site

Rooted in Christ. Built to Lead. Called to Multiply.

From Institutional Finance to Kingdom Alignment

For nearly 30 years, I worked in institutional finance—helping organizations make long-term decisions with billions of dollars at stake.

Every decision required clarity, discipline, and alignment.

But over time, I began to notice something deeper.

Many leaders were succeeding externally…
while feeling misaligned internally.

I saw it in others.
Eventually, I felt it myself.

Success was clear. Calling was not.

The Turning Point

I didn’t walk away from my career because it stopped working.

I walked away because something deeper wasn’t aligned.

Not more money.
Not more recognition.

More clarity. More purpose. More faithfulness to what God was actually asking of me.

What followed was not immediate clarity.

It was a season of uncertainty, surrender, and reorientation.

And that season changed everything.

Why Deep Rooted Believers Exists

Deep Rooted Believers was built out of that experience.

Because the problem wasn’t just mine.

Many Spirit-led leaders are navigating the same tension:

  • Faith is strong, but disconnected from daily decisions
  • Work is successful, but unclear in purpose
  • Leadership responsibility is growing, but without a framework for stewardship

This platform exists to close that gap.

What This Is

Deep Rooted Believers is not just content.

It is a framework for living and leading with alignment.

We focus on three core areas:

  • Clarity in Calling
Understanding what God is asking of you in this season
  • Depth in Christ
Building a foundation that sustains you through transition
  • Faithful Stewardship
Leading your life, influence, and resources with intentionality

Everything on this site is designed to help you move forward—not just learn more.

What You’ll Find

You’ll find a focused set of resources:

  • Devotionals to deepen your spiritual foundation
  • Frameworks to navigate transition and decision-making
  • Leadership insights that integrate faith and real-world responsibility
  • Practical tools to help you take your next step

This is not a content library.

It’s a place to gain clarity and act.

Who I Am

I’m Scott Kline.

I’ve spent three decades leading in institutional finance and now serve in church finance and operational leadership.

My work sits at the intersection of:

  • faith
  • leadership
  • financial stewardship
  • and calling

I’m also a husband, father, and someone who has personally navigated the tension between success and alignment.

I don’t approach this as theory.

I approach it as someone who has had to make real decisions with real trade-offs.

You Don’t Have to Leave the Marketplace to Live on Mission

For many leaders, the question is not “Should I leave?”

It’s:

“How do I become faithful right where I am?”

God may call you to stay and lead differently.
He may call you into something new.

But in both cases, the goal is the same:

Alignment with what He is asking of you.
